"In Chile, under the auspices of the ESU International Council, and with the backing of the British Embassy and the British Council, a branch of the English Speaking Union has been created with the aim of furthering the world-wide mission of the organization. A Steering Committee was appointed in 2004 and legal status, as a non-governmental organization, was obtained early in 2005"

These words from the Chairman of ESU Chile, Mr. Richard Collingwood-Selby, give a glimpse of the time, effort and dedication he and the members of his committee have given to this organization.

We have had four years of successful events related not only to private but also to public education. We have received the enthusiastic support of many institutions and individuals. ESU Chile was officially launched by the International Council of the English-Speaking Union in October 2006.

Now we invite you to be part of our organization and participate with us in spreading the English language throughout Chile.
