Eligibility
2026’s theme for ESU Chile and all other country’s national competition is:
“The light of a candle / is transferred to another candle / – spring twilight”

All participants will be required to deliver a prepared 5-minute speech on the theme on video, which is sent to esu@esu.cl for judges to view. Video must be received by 13 March 2026 for judges to begin their viewing.
Note, 2026’s PSC Semi-finalists National Competition and IPSC Competition will include impromptu speech.

PSC Dates/Deadlines to Mark on your calendar:
13 March 2026 – PSC Registration Deadline and 5-min video submission (sent via the registration form or to esu@esu.cl for judges to view/score).
14-19 March – 2026 PSC Round 1 judging (virtual)
20 March – Announcement of 2026 PSC top 10 Semifinalist participants (they will need to make arrangements to travel to the capital city, Santiago for in-person, face-to-face Semifinal and Final heats– venue to be announced)
26 March 2026 – PSC Semifinal and Final Heats– Registration and Workshops. Hosted by Universidad Andrés Bello, at Casona de Las Condes.
27 March 2026 – PSC Semifinal and Final Heats– participants must be prepared to deliver their 5-minute prepared speech live, on stage, with an audience. 9:00-11:00 Semifinal Heats; 13:00-15:00 Final Heat. Hosted by Universidad Andrés Bello, at Casona de Las Condes.
27 March 2026 – PSC Chilean Participant is announced and invited to attend the IPSC at Royal Institute London UK
13-17 July: 2026 IPSC Royal Institute London UK

8 May – Closing date for school registration of participant(s): 1 for ages 11-14 and 1 for ages 15-19. Submission of Stories deadline.

25 May – CWC Finalists announced.
13 June – CWC Finals Event (in person) – workshop activities / Final judging / Awards. Hosted by Colegio La Maisonnette, Vitacura.
20 May – Final registration for participating schools and their participants (1 per grade level)
1 June – Rounds for 3rd and 4th Grades. Hosted by Colegio Pumahue Chicureo.
