2026 Spelling Bee

1 participant per grade level for any of each grade levels 3rd – 8th.

Students may ONLY PARTICIPATE EVERY OTHER YEAR. E.g.: If they participated in 5th grade they can only participate in 7th Grade once again

20 May = Registration due through Registration Form (see below) for Spelling Bee Participant(s)

1 June, Monday = Rounds for Grades 3rd and 4th. Hosted by Colegio Pumahue Chicureo.

2 June, Tuesday = Rounds for Grades 5th and 6th. Hosted by Colegio Pumahue Peñalolén. 

3 June, Wednesday = Rounds for Grades 7th and 8th. Hosted by Colegio San Nicolás Diácono (Chicureo).

Schedule for the Competition*:

• 8:30-9:00: Check in
• 9:00–9:30: Welcome – Overview of the Rules
• 9:30-10:15: Grade 3 (Monday); Grade 5 (Tuesday); Grade 7 (Wednesday)
• 10:15-10:30: Break (light refreshment will be given to students)
• 10:30-11:15: Grade 4 (Monday), Grade 6 (Tuesday), Grade 8 (Wednesday)
• 11:15 -11:30: Break
• 11:30-12:00/30: Award Ceremony/Photo Session, Certificates for all participants Medals for 1st , 2nd , and 3rd Place Winners per grade level and the Traveling Trophy on the last day.

*The schedule is always flexible as we depend on the spelling prowess of our participants!
